ERICA HIROKO ISOMURA is a writer, essayist, multi-disciplinary artist, and cultural producer. Her fluid writing style often transcends genre, whether through creative non-fiction, lyric prose, or graphic forms.
Room Magazine selected her for their 2021 Emerging Writer Award and she won Briarpatch’s 2019 Writing In The Margins contest for creative non-fiction. Their work has been published in Canadian magazines and presented across Western Canada.
As a producer, Isomura has developed arts and culture programs with a wide range of community and grassroots organizations, including kikiai collaborative’s 2019 ensoku—a food, art, and cultural event for Japanese Canadian and American youth.
She lives on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ, known as Vancouver, BC.
