Nikkei Uncovered V: a poetry reading

Discover Nikkei presented its fifth annual poetry reading with a powerful lineup of poets previously featured in “Nikkei Uncovered: a poetry column,” hosted by traci kato-kiriyama, author of Navigating With(out) Instruments. 

Authors Aaron Caycedo-Kimura, Erica Isomura, and Syd Westley read a selection of poems and reflected on writing in this current time. Acclaimed poet Mitsuye Yamada joined the discussion, presented virtually on December 9, 2025.
